The article presents the results of the content of the chemical and biochemical composition of the pupa of the wild silkworm Saturnia pyri belonging to the family Saturniidae, species of Lepidoptera. The nutritional value of silkworm Saturnia pyri pupae was evaluated, which contained 51% dry matter, 52.50% crude protein, 27.89% fat, 10.50% chitin fibers, 2.5% ash and 27 macro-and microelements and 25 mg alpha tocopherols in 100 g oil. The X-ray fluorescence method was used to determine the content of mineral elements in the pupa of the silkworm Saturnia pyri. It was revealed that the pupa of this type of silkworm contains 25 elements, of which the relative amount of K, Mg, Na, Ca, Al is much higher than other elements.

The paper presents the scientific justification for the creation of a food product, that can satisfy the physiological needs of a person in the necessary energy, as well as the functional nature, created taking into account the nutritional value of food. The authors have chosen a method of limiting chemotaxis – the process of directing bacteria to the attractants, thereby preventing the development of microorganisms. The selected source of structural collagen protein – tripe, was cleaned and ground in a meat grinder, treated with diocide (dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) + sodium chloride or (CH3)2S = O + NaCl), introduced into sausage mince in exchange for lard. Mince was grinded and packed into protein shell, fried, boiled, and smoked. Obtained semi-smoked sausage product became more stable in storage than boiled sausage because it contained less moisture, had a high nutritional value and functionality. DMSO has been proven to have antioxidant effects. It prevents the oxidation of lipids by H2O2 and inhibits free radicals such as OH.

This article discusses the prospects for a completely new species for use as a non-mulberry silkworm and supposes that the resulting silk from this silkworm has various biomedical applications as a natural biomaterial. Two giant peacock moths with a light trap were caught: a female moth on the first night (28th May), then the next night (29th May) female moth was used, and successfully it was caught a male moth, in the mountain village of Bash-Shabalyd in the region of Sheki. These two moths were carefully transferred to a carton covered with gauze and transferred to the laboratory. The percentage of the cocoon shell from the mass of the entire cocoon was calculated. The authors described the biological characteristics of Saturnia pyri (S. pyri), the period of growth and development of the caterpillar from hatching to pupation in vitro. The article provides a comparative analysis of data on the content of macro- and micronutrients, as well as the determination and identification of biologically active substances in the bioextracts obtained with distilled water (BE-I) and 70% ethanol (BE-II) from the shell of the common hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) plant widespread in the northwestern region of Azerbaijan. It was established that the bioextracts BE-I and BE-II have the same mineral composition and contain 25 mineral elements. The bioextracts obtained by extraction with distilled water and 70% ethanol contain 28.51% and 14.61% mineral elements respectively. The amount of macronutrients (K, Na, Mg, Ca, Fe, P) in BE-I is 22.97%, micronutrients (Ti, Cr, Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Zr, Sn, Sr, Y, Al, S, Se, Si, Ba, Pb, Rb, V) – 5.54%; in BE-II 11.60% and 3.01%, respectively. It was established that the BE-II contains 85.4% biologically active substances (BAS) and 28 major therapeutic substances, while the BE-I contains 71.5% BAS and 14 major therapeutic substances. Within the framework of the state program for the development of silk industry, specialists from our Sheki Regional Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan participated in various scientific events, analyzed the latest research articles to study methods for the improvement of sericulture and searched for methods to restore the former glory of Azerbaijani silk. In the articles of famous foreign scientists as well as young researchers, works devoted to non-traditional wild species of silkworms, about the aspects of using their silk in biomedicine, in smart and nano technologies were most frequently mentioned (Volova and et al., 2009),(Vepari and Kaplan, 2007),(Kasoju and et al., 2009). Based on this, we began a detailed study of the possibility of breeding and obtaining silk of a local species of wild moth in laboratory conditions. Giant peacock moth, Bombyx pyri or Saturnia pyriinsects of the order Lepidoptera, family Saturniidae, genus Saturnia as a wild species that actually lives on the territory of our country (Efendi, 1971), became the object of our research. Although quite common in Azerbaijan, this species is very rare in Europe, for example, included in the Red Book of Ukraine and a number of southern regions of Russia (Shapoval, 2010) This moth has got its name due to the peculiarities of its colors: on each wing of the moth there is a disc-shaped ocular spot, similar to the spots on the tail of a peacock. S. pyri belongs to one of the largest species among all lepidopteran insects in Azerbaijan, and in the common folk this moth is called Butterfly-Soul (azerb. Annotation: The enrichment of the molecular structure of silk fibroin by selenium atom led to an increase in the branching of fibroin macromolecule. As a result, the amorphous fraction of fibroin microfiber increases which lead to an increase in the strength characteristic of the silk thread. At the same time, this change in the supramolecular structure of fibroin involving a selenium atom has enabled us to study the two-modification mechanism for crystallizing fibroin microfibers. Based on studies on the use of temperature-gravimetric and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and relative changes in the proportion of amorphous and crystalline regions, we came to the conclusion that fibroin microfibrils consist mainly of extended crystallites CSC-crystallites with the stretched chains. They alternate along the axis of microfiber with amorphous layers, the sizes of which are smaller than the sizes of the folded crystallites (CFC). Therefore, CFC cannot be located in amorphous layers between the CSC along the microfiber’s axis. As a result, the ability to fold branched sections of the macromolecule decreases, that is, CFC decreases. This increases the proportion of amorphous areas of microfibers of the fibroin. In the model, which is proposed by us, non-crystallized in the form of CSC, segments of macromolecule, on the sides of central core and attached to it, restore their folded structure (CFC)-in the form of folds of plate crystallites. Cotinus coggygria extract has been used as a dye for silk, wool and leather in Eurasia, including Azerbaijan, since ancient times. In order to be an artisanal staining of these products it is used raw–crude extract of fisetin obtained from the wood of smoke trees. To obtain a uniform color in certain product batches a dyeing bath with a certain density of fisetin is prepared. Our experiments show that in the spectrum of the crude extract fisetin in 95% ethanol, there are two characteristic UV/VIS bands. The band of the first group located, with a maximum of about 314 nm, arising from the B ring, the second–with a maximum around 412 nm arising from the A ring. This gives us reason to say that in order to establish the amount of fisetin in the dye solution, one of the earliest methods of ultraviolet and visible spectroscopy can be successfully used.

It is well known that male worms of silkworm Bombyx mori L.(Lepidoptera, Bombycidae) have a higher viability and relatively low need for food than females. Another advantage of male cocoons is that they contain~ 25% more silk. The weights and dimensions of male cocoons are superior to that of females. In addition, unwinding ability and a metric number of the threads of male cocoons are higher in males. Therefore, more profitable to buy cocoons men than women for the silk industry.Currently scientists and people involved in the cultivation of silkworm cocoons, are trying to increase the number of males in the family. Here we report we have developed a new and simple method to increase male population in the family-the mating of butterflies of silkworm take place in a constant magnetic field (CMF). We have established experimentally that under the influence of a magnetic field to the cytogenetic mechanism of a silkworm, the number of caterpillars of male increased~ 25% in the family and it reached of the number of male of approximately 75% level in the family.

The aim of this work is to use the biotechnological method of silkworm sex regulation as a breeding method. For this purpose, butterflies were mated immediately after their emergence in a chamber with a constant magnetic field for 4 h. By studying the natural fertilization of the Sheki-2 silkworm in a constant magnetic field, it was possible to change the natural sex ratio of the offspring from 1:1 to 1:3 in favour of males. A direct positive correlation was observed between the magnetic field strength and an increase in the number of males in the offspring, with the maximum number of males observed at a strength of 729.7 kA/m. The developed mathematical model made it possible to calculate the activation coefficient of magnetic fields influencing the cytogenetic process in the silkworm, which was 4.02 × 10 −3 kA/m. В современное время ученые многих стран изучают пути использования нетрадиционных растительных ресурсов для использования в разных отраслях: в сельскохозяйственных и на перерабатывающих предприятиях, для получения новых пищевых веществ, пищевых добавок с целебными свойствами, в фармакологической и косметической промышленности. Среди этих растений Амарант занимает особое место. За высокую пищевую ценность, уникальные целебно-профилактические свойства, высокую урожайность экспертами ООН Амарант объявлен самым перспективным злаковым растением ХХI века [1]. По литературным данным, содержание белка в амаранте составляет 72-75 балла, что превосходит коровье молоко, кукурузу и другие злаковые и соевые растения. Кроме белка амарант содержит высокомолекулярные соединения-пектиновые полисахариды и другие низкомолекулярные вещества, в том числе флавоноиды с Р-витаминной активностью–рутин и пигмент-амарантин. Семена амаранта содержат ценный компонент-сквален. Это ближайшее по своему составу к человеческой клетке вещество, захватывающее кислород и насыщающее им ткани и органы нашего организма через простое химическое взаимодействие с водой. N–(3.5‑di‑tert‑butyl‑4‑hydroxyphenyl) salicylaldimine (n-CA) has alkali properties ofSchiff. In the digestive tract of silkworm caterpillars, this preparation has a catalytic action, aimed at the midgut, and it induces β-elimination of glycoproteins, which are contained in the gnawed food, before the enzymatic digestion of their proteins. As a result, hydroxy-amino acid residues are removed from the peptide macromolecule chain, thereby reducing the sericin biosynthetic rate. Thus, the amount of this protein in the cocoon shell is significantly reduced.

Yusif Hacıbala oğlu Şükürlü (Şəki Regional Elmi Mərkəzi / Rəhbərlik) Non-mulberry silkworm Saturnia Pyri (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) and a new perspective source of biomaterials(11547) ['Zarintaj Yu Shukurova', 'Yusif H Shukurlu'] This article discusses the prospects for a completely new species for use as a non-mulberry silkworm and supposes that the resulting silk from this silkworm has various biomedical applications as a natural biomaterial. Two giant peacock moths with a light trap were caught: a female moth on the first night (28th May), then the next night (29th May) female moth was used, and successfully it was caught a male moth, in the mountain village of Bash-Shabalyd in the region of Sheki. These two moths were carefully transferred to a carton covered with gauze and transferred to the laboratory. The percentage of the cocoon shell from the mass of the entire cocoon was calculated. The authors described the biological characteristics of Saturnia pyri (S. pyri), the period of growth and development of the caterpillar from hatching to pupation in vitro. Yusif Hacıbala oğlu Şükürlü (Şəki Regional Elmi Mərkəzi / Rəhbərlik) Chemical composition and biological active substances of bioextracts from hazelnut shell(11548) ['Zarbali Khalilov', 'Yusif Shukurlu', 'Farhad Azizov', 'Vafa Atayeva', 'Nurmammad Mustafayev'] The article provides a comparative analysis of data on the content of macro- and micronutrients, as well as the determination and identification of biologically active substances in the bioextracts obtained with distilled water (BE-I) and 70% ethanol (BE-II) from the shell of the common hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) plant widespread in the northwestern region of Azerbaijan. It was established that the bioextracts BE-I and BE-II have the same mineral composition and contain 25 mineral elements. The bioextracts obtained by extraction with distilled water and 70% ethanol contain 28.51% and 14.61% mineral elements respectively. The amount of macronutrients (K, Na, Mg, Ca, Fe, P) in BE-I is 22.97%, micronutrients (Ti, Cr, Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Zr, Sn, Sr, Y, Al, S, Se, Si, Ba, Pb, Rb, V) – 5.54%; in BE-II 11.60% and 3.01%, respectively. It was established that the BE-II contains 85.4% biologically active substances (BAS) and 28 major therapeutic substances, while the BE-I contains 71.5% BAS and 14 major therapeutic substances. Yusif Hacıbala oğlu Şükürlü (Şəki Regional Elmi Mərkəzi / Rəhbərlik) The possibility and prospect of breeding wild silkworm of the Giant Peacock moth (Saturnia pyri, Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775), as a new branch of sericulture in Azerbaijan(11549) ['YH Shukurlu', 'Kh A Aliyev', 'ZY Shukurova'] Within the framework of the state program for the development of silk industry, specialists from our Sheki Regional Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan participated in various scientific events, analyzed the latest research articles to study methods for the improvement of sericulture and searched for methods to restore the former glory of Azerbaijani silk. In the articles of famous foreign scientists as well as young researchers, works devoted to non-traditional wild species of silkworms, about the aspects of using their silk in biomedicine, in smart and nano technologies were most frequently mentioned (Volova and et al., 2009),(Vepari and Kaplan, 2007),(Kasoju and et al., 2009). Based on this, we began a detailed study of the possibility of breeding and obtaining silk of a local species of wild moth in laboratory conditions. Giant peacock moth, Bombyx pyri or Saturnia pyriinsects of the order Lepidoptera, family Saturniidae, genus Saturnia as a wild species that actually lives on the territory of our country (Efendi, 1971), became the object of our research. Although quite common in Azerbaijan, this species is very rare in Europe, for example, included in the Red Book of Ukraine and a number of southern regions of Russia (Shapoval, 2010) This moth has got its name due to the peculiarities of its colors: on each wing of the moth there is a disc-shaped ocular spot, similar to the spots on the tail of a peacock. Yusif Hacıbala oğlu Şükürlü (Şəki Regional Elmi Mərkəzi / Rəhbərlik) MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF CONSTANT MAGNETIC FIELD ON CYTOGENETIC MECHANISM OF SILKWORM(11554) ['Yusif Shukurlu', 'Zarimtaj Shukurova'] It is well known that male worms of silkworm Bombyx mori L.(Lepidoptera, Bombycidae) have a higher viability and relatively low need for food than females. Another advantage of male cocoons is that they contain~ 25% more silk. The weights and dimensions of male cocoons are superior to that of females. In addition, unwinding ability and a metric number of the threads of male cocoons are higher in males. Therefore, more profitable to buy cocoons men than women for the silk industry.Currently scientists and people involved in the cultivation of silkworm cocoons, are trying to increase the number of males in the family. Here we report we have developed a new and simple method to increase male population in the family-the mating of butterflies of silkworm take place in a constant magnetic field (CMF). We have established experimentally that under the influence of a magnetic field to the cytogenetic mechanism of a silkworm, the number of caterpillars of male increased~ 25% in the family and it reached of the number of male of approximately 75% level in the family.

Yusif Hacıbala oğlu Şükürlü (Şəki Regional Elmi Mərkəzi / Rəhbərlik) A biotechnological method for silkworm sex regulation(11559) ['Yusif Shukurlu', 'Madina Sharifova'] The aim of this work is to use the biotechnological method of silkworm sex regulation as a breeding method. For this purpose, butterflies were mated immediately after their emergence in a chamber with a constant magnetic field for 4 h. By studying the natural fertilization of the Sheki-2 silkworm in a constant magnetic field, it was possible to change the natural sex ratio of the offspring from 1:1 to 1:3 in favour of males. A direct positive correlation was observed between the magnetic field strength and an increase in the number of males in the offspring, with the maximum number of males observed at a strength of 729.7 kA/m. The developed mathematical model made it possible to calculate the activation coefficient of magnetic fields influencing the cytogenetic process in the silkworm, which was 4.02 × 10 −3 kA/m.
