At the time of the COVID-19 outbreak, online learning was not new. Many HEIs have already used this tool during distance and blended learning at all academic levels and forms of foreign language teaching. The article explores different views on the latest ways of teaching foreign languages in the HEIs. The challenges and possibilities of using modern online resources and technologies during distance and blended learning are studied. According to Yu. Bystrova, the concept of “the newest teaching methods” is multicomponent, as it combines all the new and effective ways of the educational process (acquisition, transfer and production of knowledge), which, in fact, contribute to the intensification and modernization of education, develop a creative approach and personal potential of higher education applicants (Bystrova, 2015: 27–33). The issue of introducing the latest methods in higher education in Ukraine, taking into account these forms of education, is always relevant. This work is aimed at a thorough analysis of the latest methods of teaching foreign languages which began to develop actively and rapidly due to the growing need to master a foreign language in the short term. M. Riffater, who dealt with the theoretical issues of structural poetics in the twentieth century, presents this semantic model in a new interpretation in his research on intertextuality. The matter is that, namely through the available information, ie the author’s main idea is presented via the text and intertext. To understand theoretically M. Riffater's triangle, the application of this model to the examples of Azerbaijani literature is gaining relevance in terms of the study of intertextuality, which is one of the main directions of our modern literary criticism. We have to focus on interpretations of the epic “Book of Dada Gorgud” as the main text in the written literature and the well-known division” text-intertext-interpretenat” for such an analysis model. This approach is based on Natalie Pege-Gro's idea that the study of intertextuality in modern literary criticism “becomes a necessary part of any literary analysis.” In the twentieth century, the tales and epics of oral folk literature became the main sources of fiction. The development of the plots of “Book of Dada Gorgud” in fiction is becoming more active in both Azerbaijani and Turkish literature in the twentieth century.
